Casey Koehler
Owner and Operator of:
Koehler Consulting & Farm Services
(K.C. Farm Services)
Casey’s Early Life and Education
Casey was raised near his grandparents’ farm, owned by Eugene and Zelda Basinger, close to Milan, Kansas. He assisted them on the farm from a young age. He completed his K-12 education at the Argonia School District, graduating in 2003. Following graduation, he earned a football scholarship to Dodge City Community College (DCCC), where he studied for one year before transferring to Kansas State University (KSU). He received his degree in Agronomy from KSU in 2008, with a focus on Crop Consulting and Production.
Career Beginnings
In 2008, Casey began his career in crop consulting and joined the Kansas Association of Crop Consultants (KAICC) a few years later. He founded Koehler Consulting & Farm Services LLC (K.C. Farm Services LLC) in the same year. During this period, he also started farming his grandparents’ 1,000 acres and offering agronomy services to other local farmers, a practice he continues today.
Business Expansion
In 2010, Casey took over a local lime spreading business from Cornelson/Slack Farms. A few years later, he broadened his services by acquiring excavation equipment and incorporating general dirt work into his offerings.
Innovations and Future Plans
K.C. Farm Services now delivers a wide array of agricultural solutions that assist local producers in improving their yields year after year in the South Central Kansas and North Central Oklahoma regions. Over the last decade, Casey has designed and tested a ramp gate system aimed at enhancing ease, convenience, and safety for farmers, ranchers, crop consultants, hunters, and ATV enthusiasts. This innovative system will soon be ready for production.
